The Card Factory project was in Peterborough and consisted of splitting a large warehouse with a jumbo stud fire partition wall 10m high and 40m long. Following this we installed all new ceilings and created offices. We also created a shop within the warehouse so that they could test out new ideas and layouts in there existing shops.

Internal Fitout
Miners Court, Cornwall’s 1st Extra Care Scheme
Evolution worked for Coastline at Miners Court.
The main project was to transform a “tired” building into Cornwall’s 1st Extra Care Scheme providing a vibrant and fresh look with excellent facilities for the residents and the local community. Also the 64 individual flats within the complex were upgraded with new kitchen and bathroom facilities, and a fully complaint DDA communal bathroom was formed with the very latest equipment installed.
The main works for Evolution were the installation of new suspended ceilings and lighting throughout, including: all the necessary electrical alterations and installing High-Tec low energy products, installing a special feature ceiling and lighting scheme to the main entrance, installing all the specified insulation and fire blankets/breaks so to ensure the building was compliant.
Part of the challenge was to ensure the residents and staff were kept safe at all times the works were carried out in a fully live environment, also ensuring the residents and staff were fully informed and involved during the works. Resident consultation was absolutely key, care and compassion was absolutely essential on a scheme of this nature.
The residents, staff and the client were very grateful for Evolution’s contribution in this successful project.
